Welcome to the Psychology Research Lab!

Our research focuses on understanding the cognitive discipline of psychology, including how identity, experiences, and personality interplay with a person’s beliefs. We are particularly interested in exploring the following questions:

Our lab operates independently and does not affiliate with any religion or form of spirituality. One example we have been studying is the rapid decline in participation in the Christian church in America. According to the Pew Research Center, “the percentage of Americans that identify as Christian is down 17% in the last decade” and “those who identify as ‘religiously unaffiliated’ is up by 12% since 2009” (Pew Research Center, 2019).
